Retail & store owners
The hours add up before you sit down to add them up.
Openers, closers, part-timers covering a shift — the week only reconciles if something recorded it as it happened. WeERM ties every punch to the store it was made at, and applies California daily overtime as the week goes.
A normal day
- 9:30amOpener clocks in at Store A. The punch records which store fence it was inside, so the hours land against the right location.
- 1:15pmA part-timer assigned to both stores covers Store B and clocks in there instead. Same app, no setup, no confusion in the report.
- 3:00pmYou check the live view: who is on the clock at each store right now, and who is on leave today.
- 7:45pmClose. Weekly hours per person are already totalled across both stores, with daily overtime applied where it belongs.
What usually goes wrong, and what happens instead
Hours split across stores never reconcile
Assign an employee to more than one store and every punch carries the store it was made at, so a person who works at two stores has one weekly total and a breakdown by location. No spreadsheet merge, no double counting.
"I was there, the clock did not work"
A punch from outside the fence is not silently rejected — it becomes a request with the distance and the map attached, and a manager approves or denies it with the facts in front of them.
Company notices that nobody reads
Post a notice or a policy once and see who has actually opened it. New starters sign the required forms in the app before their first shift.
A per-location fee that punishes growth
WeERM charges per employee, not per store. Opening a second location does not change your per-seat price — only hiring does. Your plan sets how many stores (worksites) you can run: one on Lite, two on Standard, unlimited on Premium.
Which plan fits
Standard covers two stores. Three or more needs Premium, which removes the worksite limit and adds kiosk access for a tablet at the counter. Lite is right for a single store. An employee who works across several stores is assigned to all of them (Employee → Worksite → Multiple worksites), and can clock in at any.
